Magandang Gabi! (Good evening!)
You have probably heard by now that the country is at Alert Level 4 from midnight tonight. This means that school is closed for the rest of the week. We hope it will be only three days!
This means:
-The Orana Park trip is postponed.
-Filipino Feast Day on Friday is postponed.
-Senior School Mass on Saturday Night is postponed (due to being unable to prepare properly for it).
Learning:
Over the next three days, if your family are able, we suggest students use the programmes we have set up for them, including:
Reading Eggs, Reading Eggspress, Mathletics, Seesaw, Epic, Languagenut (Has many languages including Samoan, Māori …..)
If you can’t connect your child onto one of these due to a loss of password etc. please email your child’s teacher for this tomorrow. They will help you get going. It is their first name then @stannes.co.nz Remember to also try our Online Learning page, this was set up last year and we will get back into it tomorrow. https://sites.google.com/stannes.co.nz/stannesschool/home
Don’t forget some Homework Challenges for students in Rooms 5-7, children should have completed around 6 by now.
Please remember, we will support you with learning but not enforce it, as every family is in a different situation. Like last time, some families got stuck into learning during lockdown, others not so much.
Be safe, be kind!
