Kia ora e te whānau o Hato Ani!
I have been away this week due to illness (not covid) but would just like to remind you of two important things!
Wednesday 10 March – Meet the Teacher and Class Performances
On Wednesday we will have open classrooms from 4.30 pm – 5.30 pm where you can come in with your child, meet the teacher, look around the room and check out some learning.
Following that each class will present a song on our whare tapere (stage). Please ensure all children are here by 5.15 pm for the performance. We aim for this to start around 5.30 pm and families can have a BYO or bought picnic tea on the grass, while watching the performances. Please be considerate regarding volume and movement during the performances if you have siblings coming, students will be nervous as it will be the first time performing on the stage to a large group. Classes have only been working on their songs for a few weeks but we hope students will enjoy performing on the stage for you and that they learn from each event, improving their confidence and performance abilities.
4.30pm-5.30pm – Open Classrooms / Meet the Teacher
5.30pm-6.30pm – Class Performances
We have booked a coffee truck for parents’ use, we will have a sausage sizzle and there may be another food stall (still confirming).
The students from each class are asked to bring along or wear (where possible) the colours below for their class performance.
Room 1 – Any colour and bring or wear gumboots, a jacket and a torch if you have them.
Room 2 – The colour of the insect they will be performing as.
Room 3 – Any colour of your choosing
Room 5 – White top and black bottoms
Room 6 – Red and Black
Room 7 – All black
Sausage Sizzle – To ensure you get sausages on the night, please pre-order at the office using the envelope to be sent home on Friday for your convenience. $2 per sausage. Please order once per family. We no longer have the means to provide change so please try to have the right amount of money. You can pop the envelope into the ‘Cookie Monster’s Mouth’ slot in the office desk next week, before 9am Wednesday. Pre-orders will be given out first on the night and if there are any left over, those will be sold last.
See you on Wednesday!
Super Important IT Survey
A survey has come home via email. If you have not received it, that is because we may not have your correct email address. It was also shared on February 26 on the St Anne’s Parents Facebook Page. It is a follow-up from a survey last year as many people have sorted devices and internet at home since the lockdown. Please could you get this done as soon as possible, we only have half the school so far! Click this link to complete it if you have not done so yet. https://forms.gle/VdFLxoJfVJs7G8cQA
