Our theme for this term is “Called.”  We are called to serve one another, just as Jesus served.
As Catholics, we are called to be witnesses to our faith in the way we live our lives. Scripture tells us repeatedly of God’s love for us. We are called to see every person through the eyes of God and to love them because God loved them (and us) first.
Here are some student responses to the theme ‘We are Called.’

Connor Cogle:
We are called to be faithful and loving to our family, friends, others and even our enemies.

We are called to help and respect one another. To be kind and help each other, no matter what. If someone’s hurt, sad or angry it’s always good to help.

Ruby Swain:
We are called by God to serve. To have hope for the hopeless, to believe not to doubt. We are called to follow God. We are called to have faith, to believe, to be good people. Some bible verses that are about being called are, Isaiah 1:17 and Micah 6:8. Both verses are in the Old Testament.

Isaiah 1:17:
Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow.

Micah 6:8:
He has shown you what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Alyster Justiniano:
I think we are called to be with God and his humble ways and to live in justice, serve one another and live in the light. Also to open are hearts to God and live in harmony with God and our neighbours. We are called to shine with God too and to show our mercy to the ones who live in fear. It means to always be hopeful and to love the Lord.

Lexi-Bella Clare-Broughton:
We are called to love Jesus, love one another and help the earth.
“Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.” 1 Corinthians 7:17

We are called to listen to the ten commandments and be kind to the elderly.
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” Isaiah 1:17
