Caritas Challenge – 5th-9th September (Next week!)

In 2022 we can all help make a lifetime of change for communities around the world and it only takes ONE DAY!

We will be taking part in the MOVE IT challenge.  The Move It challenge is a chance to experience what traveling long distances to access basic necessities feels like.  Throughout week 7, there will constantly be at least one class actively moving, whether through dance, sports, games, or challenges.  We will complete a total of 24 hours of being active over the course of the week.

How can you help?
You can help by sponsoring your child to take part or helping your child to find sponsors. This year every dollar donated will be matched by the New Zealand Aid Programme and becomes $4.  This means that if you donate $5 to sponsor your child, it instantly becomes $20!

Your child should have received a sponsorship form with information on how to donate.  If your child has not received this, please contact their classroom teacher.
Please return forms and donations by Wednesday 7th September.

Mufti Day
On Friday 9th September, students can dress up as their favourite sportsperson and will participate in sporting activities throughout the day.  Please bring a gold coin on Friday to support Laura Vicuna School in Bethlehem. The school is in dire need of support to fix and repair toilets, purchase a new laptop and projector as well as round tables for small group learning activities.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul needs YOUR help! 

With the rising cost of food and living, we have more people in our communities needing support.  This term, we invite you to help us help others by collecting cans of food to donate to our food banks across Christchurch.

We will be collecting cans any day of the week this term until Friday 23rd September. Please drop your donations to your child’s class.
