Congratulations to all of the children who celebrated their First Holy Communion recently.

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is at the heart of our faith.  For Catholics, the Eucharist, or Mass, is the most powerful way we encounter the real presence of Jesus Christ. 

In the Sacrament of the Eucharist, people join with Jesus in giving themselves to God and to others when they receive the Body and Blood of Jesus.  They are offered the grace of the Eucharist which brings them closer to God in great love and friendship.

For the children receiving the Eucharist for the first time, this is a very important and special day.  It was great to see so many families at Mass supporting the children and celebrating with them.
