Newsletter Wk 8

Kia ora koutou

Just one week of Lent left.  Where has the time gone?    Next week is Holy Week, a very important time in the church’s calendar.   Please keep an eye on the church newsletter for the many happenings to attend during Holy Week.
A reminder that all schools are shut on Good Friday, Easter Monday, and Easter Tuesday.

Mathematics Professional Development
Alongside phonics, storytelling, and te reo Māori professional development over the year, we have also commenced mathematics professional development with Sarah Cobb from Learning Solutions. We will benefit from her expertise over the rest of this year.

Beach Rugby and Triathlon
Well done to our representatives at Beach Rugby and Zak at the triathlon. Please check out our Facebook posts to see some great photos. A big thank you to Penny who organises our sport and our parent helpers for helping on these days.

Save the Date  –  Friday 16 April
We have a few staff finishing up at the end of term!  Many years of service and knowledge will be leaving us.  Please join us on the last day of the term to bid them farewell at an afternoon assembly. We have penciled 2 pm for the farewell.

Chromebooks
We are lucky enough to have 1:1 devices which is great for cleanliness and
encouraging care of equipment.  A big thank you to those using iPads whilst waiting for the final Chromebooks to arrive (it’s a hard life ;-))

Surveys
Thanks again, we are on to those now. It has been a little bit busy here lately, which has delayed this process.

Teacher Only Days
Please save the dates of:
Term 2   –   Week 5    Friday   4 June (Queen’s Birthday)
            Term 3   –   Week 5    Friday 27 August
            Term 4   –   Week 4    Thursday 11 November
We understand that these can be hard but we hope to have Kidsbase available for you to utilise.  In consideration to you, we have only taken 3 of the 8 entitlement days.

Kia pai te rā!
