Exciting times ahead!!! Our outdoor performance area is underway over by the Mission Centre (Room 7). This will be exciting for any outdoor performances we have in the future. Our shade sails to go over the playground are not too far away also.  At least they will be ready to go for some of this term and term 4! This delay was due to a backlog at the company and the timing of our grant to fund them.

Please keep an eye on your preschoolers and keep them away from the building site when dropping off and picking up children over the next week or so.

Coronavirus – We are following Ministry guidelines in terms of handling all things to do with this topic.  We receive updates daily and have a ministry worker assigned to our school. Should anything happen, they help immediately. In the meantime, we have upped our daily cleaning measures with CrestClean to ensure an even cleaner environment for the children. Teachers (for a while now) have had extra sanitisers in each room, toilets and at reception.  We suggest taking a moment to watch the way your children wash their hands and notice how often they put their hands to their mouths.  If parents focus on this with children during home hours it would be a big help, because as staff, we don’t follow students to the bathroom to observe how they wash their hands.  A TEAM EFFORT FOR CLEANLINESS!

Our first ever mountain bike enduro race was held today.  One hour of non-stop mountain bike racing in teams.  It was held at Ferrymead on the hill next to the tram.  Please see Facebook for the highlights.  We also held an individual and team duathlon race.  Well done to all participants and supporters who braved the early morning chill. 

Also, please ensure you shut the pedestrian gate after using it.  A preschooler left the grounds due the gate being held open.    Although the intention was to help others by holding the gate open, this could be very dangerous. Please ensure you don’t let little ones out without their parents.
