From the Principal

Welcome back, everyone!!!!!!

This year we start with the most amount of students we have had in the past ten years. We had children enroll from as far as Sri Lanka over the holidays.  We are excited about what 2020 holds and look forward to getting into the learning.

This year we welcome our staff members:

Miss Caitlin Barnes to Room 2.   If you came to our opening school Mass, she was one of our readers.  We look forward to her presence in the school and hope she enjoys her time here.

Mrs Amanda Correia,  support teacher and supporting our teacher aides.

We also welcome back a past pupil, Ateliana Tiatia, as a teacher aide this year.  Ateliana is of Sāmoan descent and is fluent in both English and Sāmoan.
We also welcome Amanda Correia who will be supporting our teacher aides and a regular teacher at school.

I hope the year has started smoothly for you. Please remember, Skool loop is our main means of communication for messaging the WHOLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY.  We will put out notices and newsletters through this.  We know it is ‘just another app to have on your phone or device’ however, we will continually aim to get our communication as clear as possible.

Remember:

  • First Communion forms due Friday
  • PE Friday for years 5-8 (please have plain black shorts and a school PE top) PE tops available from the office for $35. Sports caps can be worn during the lessons and at zones and these are $15 from the office.
  • Register for our learning conferences if you have an older student at the school.
  • If you are new to the school, come to our ‘new to school meeting’.  If you know someone starting in Terms 1 and 2, remind them of this meeting also.

Slow-motion:    You may have noticed I broke my radius and wrist in a fall from the bike. Sorry if I am slow to reply to emails but I am struggling to type and write.

God Bless!
